Get ready to jingle those bells, because the Tour de Tinsel 5K just got a dazzling makeover for 2026! This year, we’re kicking things off—and crossing the finish line—right on the lawn inside Sweetland Amphitheatre.
Here is the sparkling new play-by-play of exactly where your running shoes will take you:
The Breakout: Bursting out of Sweetland, you’ll dash down Ridley Avenue, pull a quick festive two-step onto Smith Street and Church Street, and swing a right onto Haralson Street.
The Neighborhood Prance: Heading west, enjoy a brisk little jaunt down Ben Hill Street before hanging a left onto Springdale Drive.
Threading the Needle: Take a left onto Broad Street, hop onto The Thread just long enough to brag about it, and pop back onto Broad to make your grand entrance into the downtown action.
Shiny Object Syndrome (Part 1): Boom—you’re in Lafayette Square! You’ll run smack dab through the sparkling epicenter of the Tinsel Trail. Try not to let the holiday magic slow your pace as you push south onto Bull Street.
The Park Pivot: Time for a scenic detour! Loop around and weave right through Southbend Park (cue the runner’s high) before bursting out and charging north up Main Street.
Shiny Object Syndrome (Part 2): Didn’t catch all the decorations the first time? We’ve got you. The course winds back through Lafayette Square and the Tinsel Trail (hitting the east side this time) so you can soak up the remaining magic.
The Homestretch: Exit back onto Ridley Avenue for your glorious, triumphant, and likely sweaty sprint back to the Sweetland Amphitheatre lawn.
